Alternatives to REDA Matrix <br /> PURPOSE: To hold a public hearing on Planning Director initiated text amendments to the <br /> Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) regarding the establishment of the NC Highway 57 <br /> Speedway Area Rural Economic Development Area Conditional Zoning (REDA-CZ-1) District. <br /> BACKGROUND: Please refer to Sections B and C2 of Attachment 1. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: See Section C.3 in Attachment 1. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: The Planning Director recommends the Board: <br /> 1. Receive the proposed amendments to the Unified Development Ordinance as detailed in <br /> this abstract and attachments. <br /> 2. Conduct the public hearing and accept public, BOCC, and Planning Board comment on <br /> the proposed amendments. <br /> 3. Refer the matter to the Planning Board with a request that a recommendation be returned <br /> to the BOCC in time for the May 1, 2012 BOCC regular meeting. <br /> 4. Adjourn the public hearing until May 1, 2012 in order to receive and accept the Planning <br /> Board's recommendation and any submitted written comments. <br />
