OPENING REMARKS FROM THE CHAIR <br /> B. PUBLIC CHARGE <br /> The Chair dispensed with the reading of the public charge. <br /> C. PUBLIC HEARING ITEMS <br /> Planning Board Chair Brian Crawford announced the agenda and read the public charge. <br /> 1. Unified Development Ordinance (UDO) Text Amendments-To review government- <br /> initiated amendments to the text of the UDO to add a conditional zoning district (REDA- <br /> CZ-1) that would be applicable to the geographic area addressed in the NC Highway <br /> 57/Speedway Area Small Area Plan and other necessary amendments to implement <br /> recommendations made in the small area plan. <br /> Planner Glenn Bowles made a PowerPoint presentation. <br /> Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendments <br /> NC Highway 57 Rural Economic Development Area (REDA) <br /> Conditional Use (REDA-CZ-1) District <br /> • Encourage compatible, non-residential development, <br />
