My wife, Marianna Chambless, served a term <br />on the Planning Board many years ago, so I am familiar with the activities of the Board. I <br />am retiring within two months from my faculty position at UNC and will have much more <br />time available for activities such as serving on the Board. I often wake up at night <br />thinking about ways to improve the community, and I would like to direct those energies <br />to participation in Planning Board activities.
