Prior <br />to my four years with OCPYC, I served as the Deputy Director of the Center for Child and <br />Family Health and as a faculty member with Duke University Department of Psychiatry. <br />My responsibilities included managing all aspects of the mental health clinic including <br />budgeting, billing Medicaid and private insurance. My work at the Center focused on child <br />health and mental health issues with a special emphasis on domestic violence. I worked <br />with diverse families from both Durham and Orange Counties. My earlier work included <br />special projects aimed at children and families exposed to violence at the Yale University <br />School of Medicine Child Study Center in New Haven, CT. I also directed clinical <br />programs at Safe Horizon, a mental health organization in New York, and assisted <br />victims in the aftermath of 9/11. I worked internationally for many years administering <br />and implementing programs. <br />Volunteer Experience: <br />I have been a member of the PTA for many years and have served as the PTA Council <br />Representative on the School Health Advisory Council.
