The recommended intersection
treatrnent was a singie-lane roundabout for the intersection of the future
connector road and Eubanks Road to provide superlative ~affic
operations and to control ttavel speeds near the school site on Eubankc
Road. Traffic simulation was performed utilizing VISSIM ~soflware to
modei future traffic conditions with the schools in place and traffic
diversion due to the connector roadway, while also accommodating
significant truck traffc along Eubanks Road. M/A/B provided the
functional design for the rounda.bout, including critical elements such as
the inscribed diameter, lane widths sidewalk locations, bike lane
treahnents,
splitter
islands,
and apron
design.
Page 24
Southern Orange Campus Master Plan
