The Plan wiil <br />address parking issues (number and placement of pazking spaces) and <br />pedestrian/bicycle circuZation issues. The Master Plan will address futiue <br />development of the site, areas to be preserved, attenrion to slopes and <br />stormwater management issues, transportation improvements tfiat would be <br />needed, and required infiastructure improvements. neighborhoods) and also <br />azeas of environmental sensitivity. The Master Plan will be accompanied by a <br />narrative report that summarizes existing conditions, explains the Orange <br />__ County facility needs would be addressed here at the Southem Orange Campus. <br />The Master Plan will draw a link between use of the site, sustainable design <br />principles, infrash~ucture needs, and community needs. <br />An accompanying product will be a set of Design Guidelines for use and <br />reference in subsequent preparation of detailed site plans and buiiding drawings <br />as portions of the site become ready for developmenk The Design Guidelines for <br />the site will address height, density, massing, public access, and energy <br />conservation.issues both for site and building design. <br />The Plan wili include options for road improvements, along with intersection, <br />tra.nsit, bicycle, and pedestrian improvements in the azea tl~at may be necessary <br />to support the new facilities. ' <br />Completed: 6 months after Project Initiation <br />TASK 6: FINAL MASTER PLAN <br />Task 6 pulls together a11 the informarion and work products from Tasks 1-5 for <br />the purpose of constructing a Final Master Plan and a recommended set of <br />Design Guidelines for the Southem Orange Campus site. Upon approval of a <br />Master Plan by the Orange County Boazd of Commissioners, the consultant will <br />prepaze a submittai to the Town of Chap~l Hill to modify the existing Special <br />Use Permit for the site.
