ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: May 15, 2012 <br />Action Agenda k <br />Item No. ~_ <br />SUBJECT: Contract Award for Master Planning Services, Southern Human Services <br />Master Plan _ <br />DEPARTMENT: Asset Management (AMS) PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />Professional Services Agreement <br />~th Attachments A and 8 (Under <br />Separate Cover) <br />PURPOSE: To consider: <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Pam Jones, 919-245-2652 <br />Jeff Thompson, 919-245-2658 <br />1) approving a Professional Services Agreement with Clarion Associates ("Clarion") in an <br />amount not to exceed $110,000 for the Development of a Master Plan and potential <br />Special Use Permit amendments for the Southern Human Services Campus; and <br />2) authorizing the Chair to execute the Agreement. <br />BACKGROUND: In 1992, the County purchased 34.1 acres at 2500 Homestead Road an <br />which to develop a County campus for service offerings in southern Orange County for the <br />foreseeable future.
