Grier, Director of Finance and <br />Administrative Services, 245-2453 <br />PowerPoint Presentation (To be provided under <br />separate cover at the meeting) <br />PURPOSE: To present the Manager's Recommended FY 2012-13 Annual Operating Budget <br />and 2012-17 Capital Investment Plan to the Board of County Commissioners. <br />BACKGROUND: Each year during the month of May, the County Manager presents the Board <br />of County Commissioners with a recommended spending plan for the next fiscal year. The <br />Board of County Commissioners and County staff have held multiple budget work sessions over <br />the past nine months to discuss various issues and projects in preparation for decisions related <br />to the County's FY2012-13 budget. During the meeting, the Manager will provide a brief <br />presentation of the Recommended FY2012-13 Annual Operating Budget and 2012-17 Capital <br />Investment Plan. <br />The Board will conduct finro Budget Public Hearings - the first at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, May <br />17, 2012 at the Department of Social Services, Hillsborough Commons, 113 Mayo Street, in <br />Hillsborough, and the second at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at the Southern Human <br />Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road in Chapel Hill. In addition, the Board has scheduled <br />the following Budget Work Sessions: <br />May 24, 2012 - Budget Work Session with Chapel Hill Carrboro City Schools and <br />Orange County Schools Boards of Education, Durham Technical Community College, <br />Sportsplex, and County Departments (including Fee Schedule) <br />o Location - Department of Social Services, Hillsborough Commons, 113 Mayo <br />Street, in Hillsborough <br />
