- Modify US 15-501 interchange <br />Next Steps <br />- Public review period through March 2012 - March 14th public hearing at the TAC <br />Meeting <br />- Final Plan Approval April 2012 <br />The County Commissioners asked clarifying questions, which were answered by Leta <br />Huntsinger. <br />Commissioner McKee made the point that bus rapid transit would do what light rail is <br />being projected to do cheaper, more efficiently, and more effectively. <br />Chair Pelissier asked about the cost figures. <br />Leta Huntsinger said that there are some recommendations within this study that would <br />likely fit well with the broader plans. The transit tax money could be used to help support some <br />of these. Just like the highway needs in the region, there is not enough money to cover the <br />needs for transportation. <br />10. Countv Manaper's Report <br />Frank Clifton said that the bids for the Efland sewer extension were really good and the <br />County has been allocated money from the State's Clean Water Trust Fund and a tow-interest <br />loan of 2.4%. There is a gravity line that will be associated with removing one of the pump <br />stations, which will open up another 15 acres for residential development. <br />The County also moved forward with the four-year revaluation process. The plan is to <br />do this January 2013. This will be based on sales that occurred in 2011 within Orange County. <br />Preliminary estimates are forthcoming. There will be no impacts for the upcoming budget year. <br />11. Countv Attornev's Report <br />John Roberts said that the Court of Appeals has resolved the parking dispute between <br />the County and the Town and the courthouse will remain open. <br />12. Appointments <br />a. Recommendations for the Board of Directors of the Piedmont Food and Aqricultural <br />Processinq Center <br />The Board was to consider appointing three directors to the Board of Directors of the <br />Piedmont Food and Agricultural Procession Center. <br />DEFERRED <br />b. Oranqe Countv Nursinq Home Communitv Advisorv Committee - Aaaointments <br />The Board considered making appointments to the Orange county Nursing Home <br />community Advisory Committee. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Yuhasz to <br />appoint Mr. Elijah Flowers, III and Mrs. Patricia Revels to At-Large positions expiring March 31, <br />2015. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />c. Animal Services Advisorv Board - Appointment <br />The Board considered making an appointment to the Animal Services Advisory Board. <br />
