A motion was made by Commissioner Hemminger, seconded by Commissioner <br />Foushee to adopt and authorize the Chair to sign the resolution, entitled "Resolution Adopting <br />the Orange County Board of Commissioners Advisory Board Policy and Repealing the <br />Conflicting Provisions of all Prior Advisory Board Policies and Resolutions." <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />9. NC 54/I-40 Corridor Studv <br />The Board received a presentation from Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro Metropolitan <br />Planning Organization staff (Leta Huntsinger) on the NC54/I-40 Corridor Study. <br />Planning Director Craig Benedict introduced DCHC-MPO staff Leta Huntsinger, who <br />made a PowerPoint presentation. <br />NC 54/I-40 Corridor <br />Blueprint for Mobility <br />Land Use - Transportation Vision <br />The NC 54 Corridor Master Plan promotes location-efficient decisions to help lower combined <br />housing and transportation costs per household. It connects people and jobs, served by a more <br />energy efficient transportation network that enables more trips to be made by walking, bicycling <br />and transit.
