28 <br /> 1 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 2 <br /> 3 Commissioner Gordon made reference to item C-2 and said that it should say"members <br /> 4 shall be appointed from applicants" instead of"nominees." <br /> 5 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Foushee <br /> 6 that item C-2 should say, "members shall be appointed from applicants..." <br /> 7 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 8 <br /> 9 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner McKee that <br /> 10 item J-1-a-ii should say, "Chair, Vice Chair and Secretary shall be elected by the advisory board <br /> 11 unless otherwise specified by the BOCC." <br /> 12 <br /> 13 Chair Pelissier said that this does not apply to the ABC Board. <br /> 14 John Roberts said that all boards that this applies to will have an individual document <br /> 15 that will take precedence over this policy, and the Board of County Commissioners will be able <br /> 16 to address this in each individual policy. <br /> 17 <br /> 18 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 19 <br /> 20 Commissioner Gordon made reference to item B-5 and asked about the policy and if <br /> 21 that was a BOCC policy. <br /> 22 John Roberts said that this means unless the board's specific policy dictates otherwise. <br /> 23 A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Yuhasz <br /> 24 that this item should say, "unless the advisory board's specific policy dictates otherwise." <br /> 25 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 26 <br /> 27 Commissioner Gordon made reference to Section VIII, Quorum and Voting and said <br /> 28 that she is not sure about vacant positions not being counted when a quorum is present. <br /> 29 The Board decided to keep this language. <br /> 30 <br /> 31 A motion was made by Chair Pelissier, seconded by Commissioner Hemminger to add <br /> 32 language on page 3, Section Il, Duties, B, that the heading should say, "Primary <br /> 33 Responsibilities." <br /> 34 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 35 <br /> 36 A motion was made by Commissioner Foushee, seconded by Commissioner Yuhasz to <br /> 37 approve the final General Advisory Board Policy with changes approved above. <br /> 38 VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> 39 <br /> 40 John Roberts said that there are a lot of requirements in this policy that advisory board <br /> 41 members have to meet. He asked how the Board wanted this to be enforced.
