Gordon, Stephen Halkiotis and Barry Jacobs <br />COUNTY ATTORNEYS PRESENT: Geoffrey Gledhill <br />COUNTY STAFF PRESENT: Assistant County Managers Rod Visser and Gwen <br />Harvey and Clerk to the Board Donna S. The boards agreed. <br />Thatcher Fruend said that according to a recent report by the UNC Center for Urban and <br />Regional Studies, the Triangle is eating up farmland at a rate of 3,000 acres a year. <br />This is just the farmland. We are also losing woods, wildlife habitat, and watersheds at <br />an alarming rate. He commended the County's Lands Legacy Program and Chapel Hill <br />for putting the $2 million open space bond on the ballot. He said that there is a quirk in <br />
