The district counterparts then met to review the <br />information. <br />Superintendent Pedersen spoke at this time, <br />Superintendent Pedersen said that the report primarily addresses differences in the <br />school systems' operations. <br />Comparison of Major Program Areas <br />^ Personnel <br />OCS has mare favorable class size far elementary and middle schools and larger <br />high school classes. <br />CHCCS has more specialists. <br />^ Elementary Programs <br />Differences were in the world language, science specialists in CHCCS, and more <br />literacy collaborative specialists <br />^ Secondary Programs <br />There were many differences in the graduation requirements. <br />^ Core Courses -High School <br />There were many similarities in the advanced placement area. CHCCS offers <br />Japanese and German. OCS offers more honors courses in Social Studies and <br />Science and CHCCS offers mare AP studies in Social Studies in particular. <br />^ Career and Technical Education <br />Wider array of offerings in OCS. <br />^ Core Courses -Middle School <br />Differences in languages -German and Latin available in CHCCS. <br />^ Arts Courses -High School <br />^ Arts Courses -Middle School <br />CHCCS offers more specific courses.
