THE UNIT MUST BE MOUNT~D TQ A <br />SQLID SUPPQRT SUCH AS: WUOD, CONGRETE WALL, CUNCRETE BLOCK <br />WALL, OR EQUIVALENT. <br />Step 7: Remove the mounting p(ate from the back of the EVSE unit <br />by placing the unit on a so!id non-scratch surface and open- <br />ing the unit by turning the latch on the side. Remove the <br />three nuts on the 10-32 studs that attach the mounting plate <br />to the unit. The location of these mounting sYUds can be <br />seen in Figure 7. Save these nuts and ~n~ashers as they wili <br />be needed to re-attach the unit later in the i~stalfation. <br />Step 2: Using the mounting plate as a template, mark the holes ta <br />be used for mounting, Make sure the mounting piate is <br />level. if mounting on a waod stud wall use the two center <br />holes. If mounting on a solid vJali such as cancre#e, brick, or <br />concrete block, use the four outside square holes. <br />Step 3: Pre-driU maunting holes if mounting into a wood stud or drill <br />appropriate sized holes in a soiid wall fpr use with the type <br />of anchor you will be using. <br />Step 4: Attach mounting plate ta the wali as shown in Figure 8. If <br />instaliing on a wood siud, use 5/16" ~r 3/8" x 3" long ~ag <br />screws and washers. These should be galvanized or stain- <br />fess steel for weather protection if mounting outdoors. If <br />mounting onto a concrete, biock, or brick wali, use an appro- <br />priate anchor for the type of wall on which you are insta0ing <br />the unit.
