Outdoor Lighting Standards Zoning Ordinance Amendment <br />The Board closed the Public Hearing and adopted the Outdoor Lighting Standards <br />amendment to the Zoning Ordinance. <br />o. Approval of Fiscal Year 2003-2004 Capital Project Ordinances and Grant <br />Project Ordinances <br />This item was removed and placed at the end of the consent agenda for separate <br />consideration. <br />VOTE ON CONSENT AGENDA: UNANIMOUS <br />ITEMS REMOVED FROM CONSENT AGENDA <br />g_ Authorization to Contract for Work at Whitted Building During Summer Break <br />The Board considered authorizing the Manager or his designee to contract with <br />vendors during the summer break for materials and labor associated with painting <br />the interior of the facility and replacing floor covering when that work exceeds the <br />$20,000 threshold for Board approval. <br />Commissioner Jacobs asked about the carpet tiles and if they were the recycled <br />material. Purchasing and Central Services Director Pam Jones said that they are <br />recycled in that they can be pulled up and replaced very easily. Commissioner <br />Jacobs said that at one time they had talked about doing an environmental <br />assessment of County operations, and this is the type of thing that ought to be in that <br />kind of assessment. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis <br />to authorize the Manager or his designee to contract with vendors during the <br />summer break for the referenced work at the Whitted Building when that work <br />exceeds the $20,000 threshold for Board approval. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />k.
