VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Chair Brown, seconded by Commissioner Halkiotis to <br />appoint Thomas Heffner. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to appoint Thomas Heffner as Chair of the Alcoholic Beverage <br />Control Board. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />(2) Alcoholic Beverage Control Board (ABC Boardl-Reappointment <br />The Board considered the reappointment of one member to the Alcoholic <br />Beverage Control Board (ABC Board). <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Carey, seconded by Commissioner <br />Halkiotis to appoint Leslie Johns for a term to expire June 30, 2006. <br />Commissioner Gordon said that if we do this it means that we do not do the <br />reappointment. <br />VOTE: Ayes, 2; Nays, 3 (Commissioner Halkiotis, Commissioner Jacobs <br />and Chair Brown) <br />The motion failed. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Jacobs, seconded by Chair Brawn to <br />reappoint Janet Cain far a term to expire June 30, 2006. <br />VOTE: Ayes, 3; Nays, 2 (Commissioner Gordon and Commissioner Carey) <br />Janet Cain was reappointed. <br />(3) Hillsborough Planning Board <br />The Board considered an appointment to the Hillsborough Planning Board. <br />A motion was made by Chair Brown, seconded by Commissioner Gordon to <br />appoint Barrie Wallace. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />10. REPORTS <br />a. Non-Planning Reports <br />{1) Chapel Hill Township Park and Educational Campus -Status Report <br />The Board received a status report on the Chapel Hill Township Park and <br />Educational Campus project. <br />Environment and Resource Conservation Director Dave Stancil gave an overview <br />of the project. The formal presentation of the report and plan will occur in August. <br />He shared the map that was prepared by the work group. Once the Board <br />approves the master plan and decides on phasing, and then it can continue with <br />the Town of Carrboro's approval process. <br />
