The purpose of this celebration is to <br /> bring public attention to the needs of young children and recognizing all those who make a <br /> difference in the lives of young children. <br /> The Board of Commissioners approved a similar proclamation last year. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: There is no financial impact associated with consideration of the <br /> proclamation. <br /> RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board approve the proclamation <br /> designating April 22-28, 2012 as The Week of the Young Child and authorize the Chair to sign <br /> the proclamation. <br />
