36 <br /> 1. Each member shall attend an orientation presented by the Animal Services Advisory <br /> Chair (or another officer) and the Animal Services Director (or designated staff) to <br /> familiarize the advisory board members with the operation of County government, <br /> the department organization and policies, and the operating procedures of the <br /> advisory board. <br /> a. In conjunction with his or her orientation, each member will receive a tour <br /> or walk-through of the Animal Services Center and an introduction to <br /> available management and program staff. <br /> b. Ride-along with Animal Control Officers may be provided as part of <br /> orientation with approval from the Animal Services Director depending <br /> upon staffing and work load. <br /> 2. Each voting member shall complete the orientation within six months of his or her <br /> appointment. <br /> SECTION VII. BYLAWS <br /> A. By-Laws <br /> 1. Any bylaws adopted by the Animal Services Advisory Board are void and no further <br /> bylaws shall be adopted. Procedure shall be governed"."solely by this policy <br /> document and the General Advisory Board Policy Document. <br /> 2. The Animal Services Advisory Board shall, for the purposes of conducting discussion <br /> and debate only, follow the Rules of Procedure for the Board of County <br /> Commissioners. <br /> 3. Should the Animal Services Advisory Board determine modifications to policies and <br /> procedures are necessay-;the Animal, Advisory Board may petition the <br /> Board of County Commissioners,forsuch modifications. <br /> 4 <br />
