Section 153A-81 authorizes Qrange County to edopt <br />the county-manager plen for the administration of Orange County government; <br />. .. _ and .. _ _ _. , ._ . -- <br />4VHEitEAS Orange County has adopted a~d for some time now has <br />functioned under the county-manager piQn and has appointed from t4me-to- <br />time a county manager to serve at its pleasure as uuthorized by G.S, Section <br />153A-81(ll; end <br />SYETEPEAS the board of commissianers desires to ratify iLs decision <br />to administer Orange Caunty pursuant to the county-~nanager plen; <br />IT 1S HEREBY RESOLVED THAT: <br />I. Ornnge County ratifies and in all other respeets contirms its <br />election of the county-manager plen for the administrstion of all departments <br />of eounty government under the generat control of the Board of <br />Commissioners. <br />2. The Orange County Artanager is hereby e~npowered to appoint, <br />without the prior approval of the Board of Cammissioners, and suspend, or <br />remove all county officers, empioyees, and agents exeept those who are <br />elected by the people or whase appointment is otheewise provided for hy law. <br />The manager shnll make appointments, suspensions, and removais in accordante <br />wIih the Orange Caunty Personnel Policy, The manager shell do alI other <br />things required of hirn by law and necessnry tor the administration of Orunge <br />County Governe~nnt. ` <br />3.
