Approximately 50% are active and can be relied upon to <br />5 respond to calls. There is a perception that it is difficult to find volunteers. As such <br />6 the Department has done a good job of attracting students as members, of which <br />7 there are currently 11. <br />8 <br />9 The Department responds as medical first responders. <br />10 <br />11 The map below provides an illuslxation of the location of the Department's <br />12 members. State Highway 86 also goes <br />32 through the Distric~t. There is also a rail line that goes through the District although <br />33 there aze several viaducts allowing apparatus to travel even when trains are on the <br />34 tracks. These all pose potential vehicle accident and hazardous material incident <br />35 exposures. Other risks within the District are a number of schools (public and <br />36 private) woods fires, and residential structure fires. A significant factor in <br />45 <br />
