ORANGE COUNTY FIRE RESCUE STUDY <br />EFLAND <br />1 Organization <br />2 <br />3 The District is governed by a 6 member board of directors. Directors serve until <br />4 their successors are appointed by the remaining directors. The President, Vice- <br />5 President, Secretary, Treasurer and the Fire Chief serve as the Executive Committee. <br />6 The Committee has the full authority to act for the board between meetings of the <br />7 board. The population is <br />over 3,000. There aze some commerci.al properties in the District. <br />The community is tight knit and most residents know their neighbors as well as <br />their extended neighbors. <br />Deparhnent Membership <br />21 <br />22 The Department has 38 members, all of whom are categorized as "active". Their <br />23 members tend to stay on the Department; the average tenure is 10.13 years. There <br />24 are four members that are under 18 and would be classified as "junior" members. <br />27 <br />
