1 <br /> ORANGE COUNTY <br /> BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br /> ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br /> Meeting Date: April 3, 2012 <br /> Action Agenda <br /> Item No. � <br /> SUBJECT: Changes in BOCC Re ular Meetin Schedule for 2012 <br /> DEPARTMENT: County Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br /> ATTACHMENT (S): INFORMATION CONTACT: <br /> Donna Baker, 245-2130 <br /> Clerk to the Board <br /> PURPOSE: To consider three changes to the County Commissioners' regular meeting <br /> calendar for 2012. <br /> BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br /> Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in <br /> the Regular Meeting Schedule by: <br /> ➢ Changing the location of the August 21, 2012 Regular Meeting FROM DSS O�ces, <br /> 113 Mayo Street, Hillsborough TO the Central Orange Senior Center (Adjoining <br /> Triangle SportsPlex), 103 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough; and <br /> ➢ Changing the location of the August 27, 2012 Quarterly Public Hearing FROM the <br /> DSS Offices, 113 Mayo Street, Hillsborough TO the Central Orange Senior Center <br /> (Adjoining Triangle SportsPlex), 103 Meadowlands Drive, Hillsborough; and <br /> ➢ Changing the location of the May 3, 2012 Work Session FROM SHSC, 2501 <br /> Homestead Road, Chapel Hill TO the West Campus Office Building, 131 West <br /> Margaret Lane, Hillsborough, NC for a teleconference presentation on the automated <br /> agenda process. <br /> FINANCIAL IMPACT: In order to insure that the sound quality is adequate at the August 21, <br /> 2012 meeting, AMS will need to engage the services of Custom Light and Sound at a cost of <br /> approximately $500.00 (delivery, set-up and management of rental sound equipment). <br />
