She said that if she had to pick between C-1 and C-2, then she would want to <br /> know where people would park to get on this transit, etc. <br /> Commissioner Gordon asked how long it would take Triangle Transit staff to provide <br /> written responses back to the County Commissioners. <br /> Wib Gulley said that some questions answered will certainly raise other questions and <br /> February 7th is the meeting to do that. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that February 7th is the only meeting where they would be able to <br /> receive this and the County Commissioners need to give direction to Commissioner Gordon on <br /> how to vote. It would be useful to have some information available in the agenda packets. <br /> It was agreed that the information could be sent electronically by February 2"a <br /> Chair Pelissier made reference to the balancing of the regional versus the local transit <br /> needs. She said that they have to remember that this really is a regional transit plan. She said <br /> that much of the costs will be borne by the federal and state governments. She would like <br /> Triangle Transit to address this. <br /> Commissioner Yuhasz said that the creation of Triangle Transit was to have a regional <br /> entity to look at regional transit, but the problem is that there is no plan for regional cost <br /> sharing. <br /> Commissioner Gordon said that it would be helpful if the plan was refined to include a <br /> different cost sharing proposal and suggested that value capture be considered. She asked if <br /> the cost-sharing was the biggest hurdle, and if so, then they need to talk about that and solve it. <br /> Patrick McDonough asked if cost-sharing with UNC has been considered and it was <br /> answered no. <br /> Commissioner McKee said that they should consider cost sharing with all the entities. <br /> f. Update Report on Reformulated Economic Development Advisorv Board <br /> The Board received a report on proposed actions for the creation of a new advisory <br /> board to support Orange County's Economic Development activities, and provided direction as <br /> needed. <br /> Economic Development Director Steve Brantley presented this item.
