Alderman Slade said that there are communities that are pursuing the zero waste <br />option. He said that the issue with this technology is that it would have to be paid off, but <br />conservation is contrary to the business model. He cautioned against the high-tech model. <br />Commissioner Yuhasz said that this technology is roughly a$20 million investment and <br />the payback is five to six years. <br />Alderman Coleman said that it would be important to evaluate the technologies that <br />would be contrary to further waste reduction. He spoke in favor of composting waste. <br />Chair Pelissier said that one of the attractions of this technology to her is that it did not <br />require huge volumes. <br />The meeting was adjourned at 10:09 PM . <br />Bernadette Pelissier, Chair <br />Donna S.
