43 <br />Attachment 10 <br />CASE NUMBER: SU-A-3-11 <br />FINDINGS OF THE ORANGE COUNTY PLANNING BOARD <br />PERTAINING TO A REQUEST SUBMITTED BY <br />CAROLINA FRIENDS SCHOOL <br />REQUESTING A CONDITONAL USE (CU) REZONING/CLASS A SPECIAL USE PERMIT APPROVAL <br />FOR SEVERAL PARCELS OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT/ADJACENT TO <br />4809 FRIENDS SCHOOL ROAD <br />(PIN(s): 1.9892-21-1486 2.9892-22-7252 <br />3.9892-21-6594 4.9892~1-0894 <br />5. 9892-31 ~318 6. 9891-29-1739 <br />7.9892-33~224 8.9892-32~662 <br />9. 9891-29-7800) <br />As required under Section 2.9.1 (B) (2) of the Orange County Unified Development Ordinance (UDO), <br />Conditional Use Permits require the issuance of a Class A Special Use Permit in accordance with the <br />provisions of Section 2.7 of the UDO. Per Section 3.8 of the UDO, Conditional Districts may be <br />established in suitable areas of the County consistent with the 2030 Comprehensive Plan <br />Class A Special Use Permits must comply with general and specific standards as set forth in Section 5.3 <br />and 5.8.4 of the UDO. <br />In addition, the Board shall make findings certifying that the application is complaint with the following <br />specific standards: <br />(1) Specific standards for the submission of a Conditional Use (CU) application as detailed in <br />Section 2.9.1 of the UDO, <br />(2) Standards governing the location of Conditional Districts as detailed within Section 3.8.4 <br />of the UDO, <br />(3) Specific standards for the submission of Special Use Permit applications as outfined <br />within Section(s) 2.2 and 2.7 of the UDO, <br />(4) Specific regulations governing the development of Schoo/s: Elementary, Middle, and <br />Secondary as detailed within Section 5.8.4 of the UDO, <br />(5) Section 5.3.2 (B) relating to the method and adequacy of the provision of: <br />a. Sewage disposal facilities, <br />b. The adequacy of police, fire, and rescue squad protection, and <br />c. The adequacy of vehicular access to the site and traffic conditions around the site <br />(6) The general findings outlined within Section 5.3.2 (A) (2). <br />Listed below are the findings of the Orange County Planning Board regarding the application in question. <br />The findings have been presented by Article and requirement to assist the Board of County <br />Commissioners in its deliberations. <br />
