31 <br />G. A request that the solid waste management plan be modified incorporating additional <br />information on the disposal of food products/grease waste by the school as well as <br />modifying language within the plan indicating that the recycling of scrap material will be <br />`as practical' rather than `if practical'. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Completed. Please see the attached revision. <br />RECOMMENDED CONDITIONS: <br />Based on comments made at the November 21, 2011 Quarterly Public Hearing, <br />Planning staff has made a preliminary set of recommended conditions for the project. <br />Our response to each of these conditions is as follows: <br />1. That the Board of County Commissioners approve an Ordinance Amending the <br />Orange County Zoning Atlas to rezone the properties detailed within the application <br />submitted by Carolina Friends School from Rural Buffer (RB) and Planned <br />Development Housing Rural Buffer (PD-H-RB) to Rural Buffer Conditional Use <br />(RB-CU) to allow for the requested expansion as denoted on the approved site plan. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree <br />2. That the school be limited to serving 500 students as proposed by the applicant on <br />Sheet C1 of the approved site plan. ' <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree <br />3. That the hours of operation for the school be consistent with the information <br />provided on Sheet C1 of the approved site plan. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree <br />4. That existing vegetation shall be preserved and remain in an undisturbed state in <br />general conformance with Sheet(s) C4 and C6 of the approved site plan, as <br />appropriately adjusted for site-specific conditions pursuant to Site Plan review for <br />individual construction phases. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree <br />5. That the lifetime rights of the Klopfers to utilize their existing residential structures <br />shall be preserved as part of the site re-development process. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree <br />6. That the Fire Marshal and representatives of the New Hope Volunteer Fire <br />Department shall review and approve the floor plan of proposed new buildings prior <br />to the issuance of any Building and/or Zoning Compliance Permit(s) approving <br />construction verifying that the structures comply with all applicable NC Fire <br />Protection Code standards. <br />APPLICANT RESPONSE: Agree. In the past, the school has generally coordinated <br />with the Eno VFD for fire emergency issues. The Applicant agrees to work with <br />either or both organizations as appropriate for fire safety and emergency issues. <br />
