Attachment 1 <br />2 <br />NOTICE OF JOINT PLANNING PUBLIC HEARING <br />Orange County Board of Commissioners <br />Chapel Hill Town Council <br />A public hearing will be held in the Southern Human Services Center, 2501 <br />Homestead Road, Chapel Hill, North Carolina on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at 7:00 <br />p.m. for the purpose of giving all interested citizens an opportunity to speak for or <br />against the following item: <br />1. St. Paul Villaqe - Chapel Hill Joint Planning Transition Area Zoning Atlas <br />Amendment <br />Purpose: To hear public comment on a proposed rezoning of a 20.9 acre 5-lot <br />assemblage at the northeast corner of Rogers Road and Purefoy Drive from <br />Residential-1 to Residential-5-Conditional. The rezoning request is to <br />accommodate the construction of a place of worship and mixed use development <br />including an administrative complex, independent living units, day care facility, <br />gymnasium, a cemetery and sales office. The site is located within the Chapel <br />Hill portion of the Joint Planning Transition Area. <br />Action: Zoning Atlas Amendment <br />From: Residential-1 <br />To: Residential-5-Conditional <br />Size: 20.9 acres <br />Location: Northeast corner of Rogers Road and Purefoy Drive <br />Identification: Part of Chapel Hill Township, PIN #'s 9870-45-9243, 9870-54- <br />0416, 9870-54-3735, 9870-54-4583, and 9870-54-5947 <br />The zoning atlas amendment requires the approval of the Orange County <br />Commissioners and Chapel Hill Town Council. <br />Substantial changes in items presented at the public hearing may be made following <br />the receipt of comments made at the public hearing. Accommodations for <br />individuals with physical disabilities can be provided if the request is made to the <br />Orange County Planning Director at least 48 hours prior to the Public Hearing by <br />calling the one of the phone numbers below. <br />Questions regarding the proposal should be directed to the Chapel Hill <br />Planning Department at 968-2728.
