The map to the left <br />shows the %:-mile radius <br />around the Gateway, <br />Leigh Village, <br />Meadowmont and <br />Hillmont Stations, how <br />these station areas align <br />with current county <br />boundaries and planned <br />municipal boundaries, <br />and the amount of land <br />in each station area that <br />is in protected green <br />space (green) or land less <br />likely to redevelop (grey). <br />The areas shown in <br />white have the highest <br />development potential. <br />The table on the next <br />page summarizes the <br />amount of land most <br />likely to develop or <br />redevelop in each station <br />area by county, dividing <br />the Durham County <br />portion between parcels <br />on the west side of I-40 <br />(accessible to LRT <br />stations) and the east <br />side of I-40 (not <br />accessible unless high <br />quality pedestrian <br />overpasses are built). <br />Each %: mile radius circle <br />contains 503 total acres. <br />Figure 3.
