As part of these past efforts, you have received numerous letters <br />notifying you of these changes and opportunities to learn about the process. <br />On May 25, 2011, the North Carolina. General Assembly adopted Senate Bill 201, formally adopting the <br />location of 91% of the revised county line. As a result of the line being formalized, e properties previously <br />located either entirely or partially within Alamance County are now located within Orange County and <br />within our planning jurisdiction. These parcels, or portions thereof, need to be assigned land use and <br />zoning designations in accordance with the Orange County 2030 Comprehensive Plan and Unified <br />Development Ordinance (UDO). <br />The Orange County Planning Office would Iike to invite you to an open house to discuss the assignment <br />of land use and zoning designations to those properties affected by this process. Assigned land use and <br />zoning categories will be consistent as neighboring properties to the ease of the newly defined County <br />line. The open house will be held on November 7, 2011 at the Orange County Planning and Inspections <br />office (west campus office building) located at 131 West Margaret Lane in the Lower Level Maul <br />Conference room from 6:30 until 8:00 p.m. Information shall also be available on our website at <br />ivw-w.co.orange.nc.us/ laip i11ing. <br />It should be noted that the County has scheduled a public hearing to review the assignment of zoning and <br />land use designations to impacted properties. This meeting is scheduled for November 21, 2011 at 7:00 <br />p.m. at 113 Mayo Street, the County Department of Social Services, in Hillsborough.
