Bird species heard during the field <br />investigation include the Northern flicker, American crow, and Fish crow. Characteristic <br />holes in a tree showed evidence of a Yellow- bellied sapsucker. All streams within the <br />study area were dry with the exception a short reach of stream channel draining to the <br />pond.
