90 ' <br /> ,Article 6: Development Standards <br /> Section 6.8: Landscaping, Buffers&Tree Protection <br /> The Planning Director shall maintain a list of plants that are not permitted for any <br /> use due to their invasive tendencies. Such species shall not be planted as <br /> landscaping-for any purppse. <br /> (D) Installation <br /> (1) The International Society of Arborculture (ISA) maintains standards for tree <br /> plantings. All installations shall adhere to the standards published by the ISA. <br /> The Planning Director will have available the planting details as a booklet. <br /> (E) Maintenance <br /> (1) All plantings must be maintained in a healthy state. Should any vegetation that <br /> was required to meet the standards of this section die within two years of <br /> planting, the plants must be replaced with the same or comparable species. <br /> (2) The Planning Director may conduct inspections to monitor the health and status <br /> of the required landscaping. <br /> 6.3.6 Land Use Buffers <br /> (A) Purpose <br /> Land use buffers are intended to screen and buffer lower intensity/density uses from <br /> incompatible higher intensity/density land uses. Buffers reduce adverse visual effects, as <br /> well as noise, dust, and odor. <br /> (B) Applicability <br /> Land use buffers will be required based on the zoning district of the proposed use and <br /> the zoning district of the adjacent uses. <br /> (C) Location <br /> (1) Required land use buffers shall be located along the interior or street lot lines <br /> nearest the adjacent streets, land uses and/or zoning designations.
