ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: February 7, 2012 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. 5 <br />SUBJECT: Changes in BOCC Re ular Meetin Schedule for 2012 <br />DEPARTMENT: County Commissioners PUBLIC HEARING: (YIN) No <br />ATTACHMENT (S): <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />Donna Baker, 245-2130 <br />Clerk to the Board <br />PURPOSE: To consider two changes to the County Commissioners' regular meeting calendar <br />for 2012. <br />BACKGROUND: Pursuant to North Carolina General Statute 153A-40, the Board of County <br />Commissioners must fix the time and place of its meetings or provide a notice of any change in <br />the Regular Meeting Schedule by: <br />• Changing the location of the February 14, 2012 Work Session FROM Link Government <br />Services Center TO Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel <br />Hill (for meeting on transit). <br />• Changing the location of the May 24, 2012 Budget Work Session FROM Link <br />Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron St., Hillsborough TO Southern <br />Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: NONE <br />RECOMMENDATION (S): The Manager recommends the Board amend its regular meeting <br />calendar for 2012 by: <br />• Changing the location of the February 14, 2012 Work Session FROM Link Government <br />Services Center TO Southern Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel <br />Hill (for meeting on transit). <br />• Changing the location of the May 24, 2012 Budget Work Session FROM Link <br />Government Services Center, 200 South Cameron St., Hillsborough TO Southern <br />Human Services Center, 2501 Homestead Road, Chapel Hill. <br />
