9 <br />ORANGE COUNTY ADVISORY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />INPUT FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' ANNUAL PLANNING RETREAT <br />The Board of Commissioners welcomes input from various advisory boards and <br />commissions in preparation for its annual planning retreat. Please complete the <br />following information, limited to the front and back of this form. Rights/Community Development Director <br />How many times per month does this board/commission meet, including <br />any special meetings and sub-committee meetings? <br />Once <br />Brief Statement of Board/Commission's Assigned Charge and <br />Responsibilities. <br />The Affordable Housing Advisory Board advises the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners regarding affordable housing issues and increasing the <br />community's awareness of, understanding of, commitment to and involvement in <br />producing attractive, affordable housing. Additionally, the board monitors the <br />implementation of the Affordable Housing Bond Program. <br />What are your Board/Commission's most important accomplishments? <br />/ Prepared a FY 2009-2010 Performance Report/2011 Calendar. <br />/ Monitored the Affordable Housing Bond Program and provided a <br />status report to the Board of County Commissioners (BOCC). <br />Developed a recommendation for committing the remaining bond <br />funds. <br />/ Reviewed non-departmental funding applications for three housing <br />related non-profit organizations and made recommendations for the <br />
