74 <br />If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory <br />Board involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, <br />please indicate your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate <br />to the Comprehensive Plan's goats or objectives. <br />PARC members assisted with the 2010 Recreation Needs Assessment survey to <br />address element goal 1 and 4. PARC has also advised on the implementation of <br />inclusion practices as well as a medication policy in accordance with the <br />Americans with Disabilities Act. (goal 1) <br />The Council advocated for accessibility for the general pubic and for recreation <br />providers to the Orange County School (OCS) facilities. Discussions begun at <br />the 2006 joint "RPAC" meeting have progressed through the IPWG to <br />Management level. Orange County staff has recently taken steps toward <br />improving opportunities for use of schools through productive discussion with <br />OCS personnel. (goal 2) <br />Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2012 <br />as they relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. <br />If applicable, is there a fiscal impact (i.e., funding, staff time, and other <br />resources) associated with these proposed activities (please list). <br />PARC Members intend to advocate for prioritization of the Mountains-to-Sea Trail <br />- land and easement acquisition and development of segments within Orange <br />County jurisdiction. (Goal 6) <br />What are the concerns or emerging issues your board has identified for the <br />upcoming year that it plans to address, or wishes to bring to the <br />Commissioners' attention? <br />PARC wishes to bring the attached list of adopted 2012 Parks and Recreation <br />Council Goals to the attention of the Commissioners. <br />(attachment) <br />
