65 <br />[* Reminding Commissioners of the geographic limits of our basic activities when <br />it comes to state and federally directed plans and developments.] <br />List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored <br />Annually. <br />Transportation Improvement Proagram (TIP) is a recurring two-year process: <br />• First year -_develop priority list of projects to request in TIP for BOCC <br />approval. <br />• Second year -recommend comments regarding draft TIP for BOCC <br />approval to submit to NCDOT during public comment period. <br />Durham-Chapel Hill-Carrboro (DCHC) Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) <br />Long-Range Transportation Plan (LRTP) for Air Quality Conformity is federally <br />mandated, and involves a recurring 4-year cycle of tasks to update the plan to <br />ensure air quality goals are met. <br />The OUTBoard is involved with the review and comment for Orange County's <br />part in the development of regional long-range transportation plans and air <br />quality conformity analyses (socio-economic data, deficiency analysis,. land use <br />analysis, transportation alternatives development and analysis, and development <br />of vision plan.) <br />Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying <br />out BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br />Accomplishments 1 and 3 (oversight of ongoing development of a <br />Comprehensive Transportation Plan the Safe Routes to School Action Plan) <br />relate to BOCC Goal Three (Implement planning and economic development <br />policies which create a balanced, dynamic local economy, and which promote <br />diversity, sustainable growth and enhanced revenue <br />while embracing community values), Priority 20: Support transit, pedestrian, and <br />bicycle facilities and other alternatives to the single passenger automobile. <br />If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory <br />Board involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, <br />please indicate your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate <br />to the Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br />(The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, <br />OUTBoard, Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation <br />Commission, Agriculture Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, <br />Recreation and Parks Advisory Council) <br />Accomplishments 1 and 3 (oversight of ongoing development of a <br />Comprehensive Transportation Plan the Safe Routes to School Action Plan are <br />directly related to Comprehensive Plan Transportation Element Goal 3 Objective <br />
