50 <br />electronic survey for all Orange County employees. <br />• Reactivated the Long Term Care Roundtable to explore options for <br />improving the quality of life for facility residents <br />• Supported staffs recommendation to move toward a closer relationship <br />with Orange County Department of Social Services. As a result, two <br />Department on Aging social worker positions were transferred to OCDSS <br />thus giving them the ability to assist persons at the Senior Center in <br />signing up for public benefits without having to go to a DSS office. This <br />moves the OCDoA toward the goal of a "one-stop shop" for aging <br />services. <br />• Supported and advocated for the Soltys Adult Day Health Center. <br />List of Specific Tasks, Events, or Functions Performed or Sponsored <br />Annually. <br />• Co-sponsor annual Community Resource Fair at University Mall; 400 <br />persons were in attendance at the March 2011 event. <br />• Provide Orange County representation to the Triangle J Area Agency on <br />Aging Advisory Council <br />• Support the Chatham-Orange Community Resource Connections and the <br />development of its 22 partnerships with local agencies, as well as being a <br />pilot site for the Hospital Transitions model. <br />• Assist in promotion of the Senior Tar Heel Legislature initiatives through <br />representation by two Advisory Board on Aging affiliates. <br />Describe this board/commission's activities/accomplishments in carrying <br />out BOCC goal(s)/priorities, if applicable. <br />If your board/commission played the role of an Element Lead Advisory <br />Board involved in the 2030 Comprehensive Plan preparation process, <br />please indicate your board's activities/accomplishments as they may relate <br />to the Comprehensive Plan's goals or objectives. <br />(The Element Lead Advisory Boards include: Planning Board, EDC, <br />OUTBoard, Commission for the Environment, Historic Preservation <br />Commission, Agriculture. Preservation Board, Affordable Housing Board, <br />Recreation and Parks Advisory Council) <br />NA <br />Identify any activities this board/commission expects to carry out in 2012 <br />as they relate to established BOCC goals and priorities. <br />If applicable, is there a fiscal impact (i.e., funding, staff time, other <br />resources) associated with these proposed activities (please list). <br />• Present the Master Aging Plan Update for 2012-17 to the Board of County <br />Commissioners in May 2012 and monitor progress toward the <br />implementation of its recommendations. <br />
