Please complete the <br />following information, limited to the front and back of this form. Advisory Council <br />Primary County Staff Contact: <br />Chair? or Dr. Carl Matyac, County Extension Director <br />How many times per month does this board/commission meet, including <br />any special meetings and sub-committee meetings? <br />Quarterly <br />Brief Statement of Board/Commission's Assigned Charge and <br />Responsibilities. <br />The North Carolina Cooperative Extension Orange County Advisory Council is <br />established to provide leadership for the county Advisory Leadership System. <br />Extension experts address local issues with research-based knowledge and <br />resources creating opportunities and empowering people to collaboratively solve <br />problems. It is the purpose of the Advisory Council to make sure these local <br />issues are reflected in educational programs and that educational resources are <br />available to address the identified needs. <br />The purpose of the County Advisory Council shall be to: <br />• Function as a valuable partner to Cooperative Extension .Service (CES) <br />• Give grassroots connection <br />• Help CES stay relevant, responsive and focused <br />
