34 <br />ORANGE COUNTY ADVISORY BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br />INPUT FOR COUNTY COMMISSIONERS' ANNUAL PLANNING RETREAT <br />The Board of Commissioners welcomes input from various advisory boards and <br />commissions in preparation for its annual planning retreat. Please complete the <br />following information, limited to the front and back of this form. The <br />Marketing Committee meets several times per year as necessary. Executive <br />Director meets with the County Manager, EDC Director and Finance chair at <br />least quarterly to review major initiatives. <br />Brief Statement of Board/Commission's Assigned Charge and <br />Responsibilities. <br />The board serves in an advisory capacity to Orange County government in order <br />to help Orange County execute a strong tourism program that builds hotel <br />occupancy, promotes the assets of the entire Orange County and generates <br />demand and spending among visitors to Orange County. The board appoints a <br />board of 13, ranging from hoteliers, restaurateurs, High School Athletic <br />Association, (3) Town representatives, historical and artistic representatives as <br />well as the University and economic development stewards.
