As the Planner/Crime Analyst, I supervised the department's IT functions, which included computerized records management, mobile data communications, and inter-agency communication. I presently work as part-time, contract employee for the Town of Chapel Hill Public Works Department. Volunteer Experience: I am the secretary for the Board of Directors of A Helping Hand, anon-profit agency serving people who need in-home assistance, escorted transportation, or companionship. I also serve on the Board of Directors of Chapel Hill-Carrboro-UNC Crime Stoppers, Inc. Education: I graduated from the University of Cincinnati in 1973. I obtained a Masters in Social Work from UNC-Chapel Hill in 1977. Other Comments: I would like to serve on the Orange County Emergency Services Work Group because of my experience and interest in public safety issues in Orange County. I have knowledge about emergency service communication systems. I understand the need for improved communication among agencies in order to provide the best services to citizens.
