ORANGE COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS <br />ACTION AGENDA ITEM ABSTRACT <br />Meeting Date: January 24, 2012 <br />Action Agenda <br />Item No. ~ - S <br />SUBJECT: Inter overnmental Agreements <br />DEPARTMENT: Various Departments PUBLIC HEARING: (Y/N) No <br />ATTACHMENT(S): <br />INFORMATION CONTACT: <br />County Attorney's Office, 245-2317 <br />Donna Baker, Clerk to the BOCC, <br />245-2130 <br />PURPOSE: To approve various intergovernmental agreements. <br />BACKGROUND: The Board directed that it review all intergovernmental agreements. Provided <br />below is a list of Agreements and brief synopsis of each that have been reviewed by the County <br />Attorney's Office and staff is asking the Board to approve. <br />1. Parties to the Proposal: University of North Carolina School of Government and <br />Orange County. <br />Services: The purpose of this contract is to secure services for planning and <br />facilitating a Communications Planning Retreat for the Orange County Board of <br />Commissioners on February 10, 2012. <br />a. Amount: The total cost to the County shall be $2,500. <br />FINANCIAL IMPACT: Financial impact is listed in each section above. <br />RECOMMENDATION(S): The Manager recommends that the Board authorize the County <br />Manager to sign the above listed agreement and any amendments or renewals of those <br />Agreements. <br />
