SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> NR <br /> A theme consists of four elements: <br /> • Theme Name. The name of the theme, such as"MSLA Schools." <br /> • Theme Label. The label associated with the object.Labels can be configured to display <br /> different information,such as the name associated with the object.For example,if a theme <br /> is created and applied to the object called"Schools"and the Theme Label is configured to <br /> display the school name, each school displayed on the map displays its name in the label, <br /> such as"Franklin Park School." <br /> • Theme Attribute.The symbol associated with the theme when displayed on the map. <br /> • Theme Expression.The values that define the theme,such as [SPEED]==25.A theme is <br /> comprised of objects. The name of each object is the Theme Expression. <br /> To create a theme, select the object for which you want to create a theme from the Layer drop <br /> down list in the Theme toolbar and then select the theme editor icon. (See page 1-12.) <br /> FIELDS AND BUTTONS <br /> Theme Scrolled list box. Displays a list of available themes. <br /> Description Alphanumeric field. Enter the name (description) for the theme. <br /> Link to System:As you type the name in the Description field,the blank entry <br /> in the Themes scrolled lit box fills. <br /> <unlabeled> Scrolled list box. Displays the theme elements. <br /> Link to System: Select a theme element to open the corresponding attribute <br /> editor window. (See page 1-78.) <br /> New Command button. Opens a blank theme entry in the Themes list box. <br /> Link to System:The Description field and the Delete button become available. <br /> Theme <br /> Wizard Command button. Opens the Theme Wizard window. (See page 1-67.) <br /> Delete Command button. Deletes the selected theme. <br /> Static Check Box. Check if the information on which the theme is based is static in <br /> nature.
