SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> NR <br /> The map displays the selected objects in the Map Legend area on the map in the order in <br /> which they appear in the Map Legend, beginning at the top of the Map Legend area. (See <br /> page 1-98.) <br /> • Reference Map. Displays a site's entire map in a smaller scale with a reference rectangle <br /> indicating the area that is currently displayed in the map display area. <br /> • Map Display. Displays the map. <br /> MapTrak displays the entire dispatch area for each site. You can add or remove details from the <br /> MapTrak using the Overlays menu. You can enlarge sections of the map, called Zoom Levels,to <br /> view areas in greater detail. <br /> The MapTrak program provides users with the ability to view"real-time"call for service (CFS) <br /> information on a mobile computer, in addition to different features of a map such as buildings, <br /> streets, and boundaries. Both data from the CFS information and map features are displayed on <br /> the map as objects. <br /> The MapTrak program plots and displays CFS information, as well as the location of units, as <br /> objects on the map. Using various tool commands available in the MapTrak program,the appear- <br /> ance of objects can be modified for display on the map.The MapTrak program includes command <br /> features that allow you to identify addresses and locations, as well as CFSs and units, on the map. <br /> The MapTrak program also allows you to fill in boundaries,to allow for distinguishing between <br /> parcels, quadrants,zones, and other areas that are displayed on the map. <br /> The CAD Status Display program is used by the CAD system to transfer CFS and unit informa- <br /> tion to the MapTrak program. The CAD Status Display program writes a file that the MapTrak <br /> program reads to update the map with current CFS information. The frequency of information <br /> updates to the MapTrak program is site-configurable. <br /> The CAD Status Display program only loads unit and CFS information for the selected resources. <br /> As a result,MapTrak displays only the units and CFSs that the CAD Status Display program dis- <br /> plays. When the MapTrak program detects new CFS and unit information from the CAD Status <br /> Display program, it clears its current state and reloads all applicable CFSs and unit information to <br /> its database. <br /> The CAD Status Display program transfers the following data to the MapTrak program: CFS <br /> Number, Incident Code,Address, Status,Attached Unit, Latitude, and Longitude. <br /> LogiSYS can configure your system so that optional functions can be turned on or off depending <br /> on your site's preference.
