SYSTEM DESCRIPTION <br /> NR <br /> FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION <br /> Open the Address Matching Configuration window by selecting the Configure icon from the <br /> MapTrak Address Match toolbar(see page 1-12).Address matching configuration enables Map- <br /> Trak's ability to search for and identify a variety of locations, such as addresses, intersections, <br /> landmarks,and latitudes/longitudes.Additionally, it allows you to define what data appears in the <br /> Matching Address list box on the Address Matcher window. (See page 1-40.) <br /> The Address Matching Configuration window allows you to configure the display characteristics <br /> for a street layer, a discrete XY layer, and a landmark layer. <br /> The window consists of three tabs, each representing a layer that can be displayed on the map:. <br /> Streets,Discrete Addresses, and Landmarks. You use the Address Matching Configuration win- <br /> dow to define the configuration of these layers. The following layers are defined in the Address <br /> Matching Configuration window: (1)up to one centerline layer(Streets tab), (2)up to one X, Y <br /> layer(Discrete Address tab), and(3) up to one landmark layer(Landmark tab). When displayed <br /> on the map,the centerline layer is displayed as a line shape file and the discrete X, Y and land- <br /> mark layers are displayed as point shape files. <br /> The Discrete XY feature allows the system the ability to gather more accurate location informa- <br /> tion for those locations that do not fall under the standard address definition. For instance,you <br /> would use the Discrete XY feature when a structure is located at the end of a driveway 1 mile <br /> from its street address. <br /> FIELDS AND BUTTONS <br /> ConfigurationsScrolled list box. Select a configuration from the available list. <br /> New Command button. Opens the Address Match Configuration window. <br /> (See page 1-50.) <br /> Delete Command button.Deletes the selected configurations. Select the check <br /> box beside the configuration you want to delete. <br /> Streets Tab. <br /> Layer Validated field.
