SYSTEM DESCRIPTION NR Link to System:MapTrak adjusts the map display as if you zoomed in or out. Unit Drop down list.Displays the unit of measurement, such as miles, kilo- meters, and yards,by which distances and areas are measured in Map- Trak. Links to System:Use the arrow beside the field to pull down the list to select the unit type Measure Line Icon.Allows you to make a measurements on the map using a user-defined line. Enter the starting and ending points by clicking on the map. You can enter as many points on the map as necessary. For example,you can draw a triangle or octagon. Links to System:MapTrak calculates the distance between two points and displays the measurements in the status bar. If more than two points are set,MapTrak calculates the accumulated distance between the points. The line measure- ment remains in the status bar until you select another tool or right-click. To remove a line measurement from the map,right-click. Measure Rectangle Icon.Allows you to make a measurements on the map using a user-defined rectangle. Draw a rectangle on the map. Links to System:MapTrak calculates the area of the rectan- gle,as well as the width,height,and perimeter,and displays the measurements in the status bar. The rectangle measure- ment remains in the status bar until you release the mouse button. The rectangle disappears from the map when you release the mouse button. Measure Polygon Icon.Allows you to make a measurements on the map using a user-defined polygon. Draw a polygon on the map. Links to System:After at least three polygon points are defined, MapTrak starts calculating the area of the polygon as well as the perimeter and displays the measurements in the status bar. The polygon measurement remains in the sta- tus bar until you select another tool or right-click. 01/20/10 1-17
