SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
MOBILEiRAK
MobileTrak:
RESTRICTED ACCESS - UNIT ACTIVITY REPORTS
FUNCTIONAL DESCRIPTION
LogiSYS can configure your site to control how the MobileTrak program restricts the information
displayed in Unit Activity Reports. This option controls Unit Activity Reports separately for users
logged in as a specific unit versus general administrative users(such as fire chiefs) who are not
logged in as a unit.
Unit Functions
When a unit logging into MobileTrak is associated with a recognized agency or agencies, the
unit's privileges for viewing Unit Activity Reports are restricted. With the default configuration,
a logged-in unit can view Activity Reports only for units from the logged-in unit's agency. Addi-
tional configurations may allow units to view additional agency's Activity Reports.
A logged-in unit can view Activity Reports for units from any of the agencies defined as viewable
for the logged in unit's agency. This allows your system to be configured so that, for example,
county fire units can view Activity Reports for city fire units but not for county police units.
Unit Activity Reports are opened by:
• Choosing the Unit Activity Report menu option from the Reports menu and defining
search criteria on the Report Criteria prompt,
• Double-clicking on a particular unit in the Attached Unit Queue, or
• Selecting one or more units in the Attached Unit Queue and right-clicking to access the
Show Unit Activity option from the sub-menu. The menu option is only available when at
least one of the selected units allows Unit Activity under the current restrictions.
If a logged-in unit defines report criteria that includes both allowed and restricted units, the sys-
tem generates an Activity Report that includes only the allowed units.
If a logged-in unit attempts to open an Activity Report that includes only restricted units(that is,
units that aren't associated with one of the allowed agencies),then the system displays an error
message and prevents the Activity Report from opening.
When a logged-in unit opens the Activity Report for a unit or units he's allowed to view, the dis-
play of the Activity Report may be different than the base Unit Activity Report. The Unit Activity
Report can be customized such that different resource agencies have different data included in
their report.
07/20/11 t-t
