A MANDATORY pre-bid meeting to review the scope of work will be held at the Orange County Solid Waste <br /> Administration Building, 1207 Eubanks Road, Chapel Hill, NC on, September 27th at 2:00 pm. <br /> 18. Consideration will be given only to Bidders who are experienced in the class of work proposed, who can <br /> refer to projects of similar magnitude and/or character that have been completed by them, and who can <br /> document effective safety management. Past performance of safety management by the Bidder will be <br /> evaluated by: <br /> a. County review of any OSHA citations issued to the Bidder for the past five years. This information will <br /> be obtained from the Department of Labor or Dunn and Bradstreet; <br /> b. Overall OSHA incident rates for frequency and severity for the past five years will be reviewed. These <br /> rates will be compared to industry rates. The N.C. Department of Labor publishes these types of <br /> statistics on an annual basis and the National Safety Council also publishes a booklet titled Accident <br /> Facts each year; <br /> c.The low bidder will provide, upon request, a written copy of OSHA 200 logs for the past two years as <br /> well as EMR rating for the last three calendar years <br /> BID DOCUMENT 1630 <br />
