CTA Communications <br />Orange RaCE Test Report <br />Table 6 -3 RSSI & Attenuation Accuracy Verification Equipment <br />6.4 DAQ Testing Attenuation <br />Orange County Emergency Management requested that CTA evaluate the VIPER radio <br />system under portable on- the - street coverage with the portable mounted on the hip. <br />Since the RaCE test set uses a mobile radio with a vehicle- mounted mobile antenna, <br />attenuation must be added to simulate a portable radio mounted on the hip. An <br />additional attenuation factor is needed for the transmit direction of the mobile radio to <br />account for the lower portable output power. <br />
