There was some indoor soccer and tennis. She said that it <br /> was interesting that one of the buildings used was an old Belk distribution center that was <br /> reconditioned. <br /> A motion was made by Commissioner Gordon, seconded by Commissioner Jacobs to <br /> ask the County Attorney to read the Unified Development Ordinance by the second meeting in <br /> March. <br /> John Roberts said that just because he reads 800+ pages, does not mean that he will <br /> be able to answer every question about those 800+ pages, but he will read it. He said that � <br /> Municode will do a review of it also to look at conflicts with federal and state law. <br /> VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br /> Commissioner Gordon said that the draft Metropolitan Transportation Improvement <br /> Program will be at a public hearing at 7:00 p.m. on March 9th in the Durham City Hall. <br /> Commissioner Gordon said that Triangle Transit will hold public workshops on the <br /> Triangle Regional Transit Program in Chapel Hill on March 24'h from 4-7 p.m. at the Friday <br /> Center. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that fhe're is a small group working on the Orange County Transit <br /> Plan with representatives from UNC and three municipalities. There are regular meetings now. <br /> A subset from that group will be meeting with a delegation from Durham County regarding the <br /> %z-cent sales tax. <br /> Chair Pelissier said that there is quite a bit of interest with what Orange County is doing <br /> about economic development. There is a subcommittee of the Hillsborough Chamber of <br /> Commerce on Economic Development, who is reorganizing and they want to hear about what <br /> Orange County is doing. She was also invited to speak to the Homebuilder's Association in the <br /> beginning of April. She thinks that this is a sign that people are seeing that Orange County is <br /> taking active steps regarding economic development. <br /> 13.
