Board Comments <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said that there is a meeting on March 12th in Spanish to <br /> introduce people who would like to learn about agriculture in Orange County and pursue <br /> farming in Orange County. The contact is 245-2330. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said that he toured the Value-Added Processing Center and the <br /> hope is to have the next advisory'board meeting in the facility and to open the facility by the end <br /> of April. There is good participatiori by Alamance and Durham Counties but not Chatham <br /> County. <br /> Commissioner Jacobs said that he would like to add Board procedures (i.e., paperless <br /> agendas, etc.) to the agenda of the April 12'h work session. Chair Pelissier said that this would <br /> be discussed at agenda review. <br /> Commissioner McKee —'none <br /> Commissioner Yuhasz— none <br /> Commissioner Foushee said that last Friday she participated in Orange County's <br /> charette for Durham Tech — Orange County campus and she brought it for the Board to look at <br /> some of the proposed ideas. She said that there was a Durham Tech Board of Trustee's <br /> meeting recently and there is not a plan to ask for an increase in funding this year from the <br /> Board of County Cornmissioners. <br /> Commissioner Hemminger said that she agreed with Commissioner Jacobs about <br /> paperless agendas and moving toward electronic agendas. <br />
