Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment Article 10 (Definitions) <br />The Board received the Planning Board recommendation, closed the public hearing and <br />considered a decision on a Planning Director initiated text amendment to Article 10 of the <br />Unified Development Ordinance regarding the definition of "Commercial-Industrial Transition <br />Activity Node Land." <br />Planner Perdita Holtz said that this is a housecleaning item to revise the definition of <br />"Commercial Industrial Transition Activity Node Land." This is so the definition will be <br />consistent with the same definition in the Comprehensive Plan. The item was heard at the <br />August 22"d Quarterly Public Hearing, and since then the Planning Board has recommended <br />unanimously to approve the amendment. <br />PUBUC COMMENT <br />None. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Hemminger <br />to close the public hearing. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Foushee, seconded by Commissioner <br />Hemminger to approve the Ordinance amendment as recommended by the Planning Board <br />detailed within Attachment 5. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />e. Unified Development Ordinance Text Amendment - Section 2 5 3 Site Plan <br />Specifications <br />The Board received the Planning Board recommendation, closed the public hearing and <br />considered a decision on a Planning Director initiated Unified Development Ordinance text <br />amendment requiring site plans to demonstrate compliance with County adopted access <br />management and connectivity plans. <br />Michael Harvey said that there were no comments made at the Quarterly Public Hearing <br />on this item. The Planning Board recommended unanimously that the Board of County <br />Commissioners approve this item. He said that the County Attorney will be recommending the <br />addition of a word in Attachment 5. This is Item U of Section 1. The County Attorney has <br />suggested that the paragraph should read, "Compliance with County adopted access <br />management, transportation, and/or connectivity plans and denote the location of future <br />roadway(s) and access easements, whether public or private, to ensure and encourage future <br />connectivity." <br />PUBLIC COMMENT <br />None. <br />A motion was made by Commissioner Hemminger, seconded by Commissioner McKee <br />to close the public hearing. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />A motion was made by Commissioner McKee, seconded by Commissioner Hemminger <br />to approve the Ordinance amendment as recommended by the Planning Board detailed within <br />Attachment 5, with the change in wording as suggested by the County Attorney and shown <br />above. <br />VOTE: UNANIMOUS <br />
